Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, studied clarinets as well as cellos and pianos at the Hochstein School of Music. Sharp's love for theatre at school was the reason she applied to The Boston Conservatory, where she received a scholarship. Cum Laude, where she received a B.F.A. from the Conservatory, Sharp set her goal to perform on stage. She played in The Broadway National Tour of Carousel and debuted Off Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. She was even a read in August Wilson's Come and Gone. Alongside her performances in stage and screen, Sharp has several other original projects in the works she has written or co-written. She continues to sing, and has a full-length album currently in the process of being recorded. Sharp she is frequently either in front of or behind the camera or in the recording studio, is a fitness enthusiast. Sharp studies Krav Maga along with boxing. Sharp likes to play piano, go hiking and taking a lengthy road trips. Sharp reside in Los Angeles, California with her family.
