Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Based on the shadows she observed upon the ground, the artist spent many weeks perfecting the technique used to express objects in two dimensions on canvas. The subject is a mirror that is its own and the canvas carries an interpretation by painting of the object, especially when it's a live object or perishable like people or fruit. Alexa Meade's paintings are ephemeral however the photograph is left. The painting and photography techniques are closely coordinated and result in a flat two-dimensional space that achieves trompe l'oeil. Only certain parts of the image like hair and eyes, show the third dimension. Meade often incorporates models painted within the surrounding space. It allows them to engage with the environment the artist has constructed. Thereby repealing the boundaries between painting, photography, performance and installation.
