Ellie Goulding

Having caught the public's attention in 2010 with her singles "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses," British vocalist Ellie Goulding quickly climbed to the top of the charts with her enthralling electronic pop style. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. The soprano's quirk and her ability to compose catchy, but emotional songs put her in the forefront of modern mainstream music, as well as an independent and artful pop. Polydor Records, a major music label, chose to sign the singer and began preparing to release Goulding's debut album.
