Bellamy Young

Young began her professional profession as an actor in the theatre. As Mary in The Life's initial cast, Young made her Broadway premiere as Mary in 1997 on Broadway in 1997. She also performed Off-Broadway, in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Rolled Along (1994) along with as Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995 until 1996). In 1995, she made her TV debut on a recurring character on"The Other World," an NBC daytime soap the show Another World as Dr. Courtney Evans. Between 1997 and 1998, she played a cameo in Law & Order, playing two roles. In 1999, she made her film debut with a small part in the crime drama Black and White and later she co-starred in various independent films. Beginning in 2000, she started appearing as an guest on a assortment of television dramas as well as comedy shows like The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Between 2000 and in 2011, Young made over 30 guest appearances on tv shows. Young was regularly cast in the USA Network series Peacemakers in 2003. The series was canceled after one season of nine episodes. There were recurring characters in the Lifetime legal drama For the People as Deputy Dist. Atty. Agnes Hunt in 2002, on NBC period drama American Dreams as Diane Shaw in 2003. In the same year, she was on NBC's Scrubs as Dr. Grace Miller in 2004 in the role of The Assistant State Attorney Monica West on CBS's CSI: Miami (2005-06), and on ABC the primetime soap drama Dirty Sexy Money (2008-2009) in the role of Ellen Darling, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Darling family.
