Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimmyenez, September 2, 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5), is an American and Mexican actress. In Mexico, she began her career with the role as Teresa in the Telenovela (1989-1991), as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she received an Ariel Award. Her career quickly took off in Hollywood through appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal as Frida painter in Frida (2002) in which she also produced and directed, resulted in Hayek the first Mexican actress to receive the Academy Award [6]. This also earned her a Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on making films, while also starring in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
